What is The Integrative Coaching Process Like?
First of all, it is fun. If we aren’t smiling and laughing together while we work, even if and when we cry together, then what’s the point? Sharing our mutual humanity is core to my work. My hope is you feel safe, engaged, curious, and supported in each interaction you have with me.
1. Relationship Building
Fit is everything. The first step is to see if we vibe. If you are seeking to create authenticity, wellbeing and community at work, we already have something in common!
2. Assess Needs
The next step is to start to assess your needs. Because my work is tailored to you and your org, I take time to listen to you and discover what might be most helpful. Then we collaborate on how to prioritize and scaffold our approach for sustainable lasting change.
3. Exploratory sessions
The next step is to meet with you and your people 1:1 to create relationship and buy in to the work while supporting each person’s unique path. I will listen for themes in your community or organization to support creating our custom groups and workshops.
4. Groups and Workshops
This is where it gets messy and fun. We will create custom community work to have the conversations needed to move your group forward. I infuse psychoeducation on emotinal intelligence, psychological safety, and tangible community care into the trainings so our discussions are healthy and productive. We are creating and practicing group norms in this process and building accountability and conflict resolution into the change.
5. Implementation
The groups and workshops are a way to explore together and create the interpersonal change needed. Community care is not just about group norms though, it is about infrastructure. Through looking at policy, procedure, org structure, project management and strategy we will find ways to infuse the change you seek into all areas of your org.
5. Maitenance
This is a journey and process. I never know how long this work will go on. That is based on our collaboration for you and your needs. I do know that the most successful people and teams continue with maitenance work through less frequent sessions and groups to keep the new norms and process alive and evolve with new issues. I am very particular with who I work with as I am not a short term package. I’m in it for the long haul to ensure success with the foundational change and sustainable lifestyle over time.
